In Greek, when people say “Θα πάω στο χωριό” it directly translates to “I’m going to the village” In essence they are saying they are going back to their home. A sense of home is the primary aim of Neo Horio. A place they have a strong connection to.

Neo Horio is a further refinement of the SQUARED² scheme - addressing the ever-increasing cost of housing and an aging population projected in 2045. Neo Horio is a modern twist on the European Village. The schemes goal is to create a strong bond between the residents of the Plympton community. Neo Horio bridges between old and new, expressing a glimpse of the history of the site giving a sense of place to the community. Through 4 layers of green-space, occupants are able to disconnect from technology and connect to nature and each other just outside their doorstep. The ultimate vision is to re-purpose, be flexible and adaptive, looking toward a sustainable future way of living.
